Back in college, we labeled it. We coined it. We all stated it, knew it, claimed it. It's the "man hug." It's the thing every girl "gets" in the understanding of the phrase, and every woman needs. Every female knows there is something so necessary, so strong, so intimate, so caring, so safe, about it. It's knowing it will be okay, and will be well, and someone is with you and guiding you and protecting you. It is safety at it's finest. Clear, honest, true. There are days where that is just it: the man hug. That it is exactly, and only, what you need. And it would make all the difference.
Today is a day I label, and want, a "man hug."
Could anyone be strong enough to give it?
Oh, well... Off to bed I go.
My Taylor friends, thank you for 'getting it' and understanding the dignity and sincerity in this phrase. I love you.
